Civita Group
The name Civita comes from the Latin word “civitas”, meaning the city as a place of belonging and civic coexistence. This idea has inspired Civita since its foundation in 1987, when it was established in response to the deterioration of Civita di Bagnoregio, the historic village in northern Lazio.
Today, Civita consists of two distinct organisations, each with its own specialisation and operational role: the Civita Group, headed by Civita Mostre e Musei, and Associazione Civita, whose activities can be found on www.civita.it.
Two identities, one project: a dual organisation united by the same vision and driven by two different missions with a shared purpose — bringing art closer to an ever wider audience.

The significant results achieved by the Civita Group over the past decade, together with its international outlook, now enable it to play a leading role in the cultural heritage sector, particularly in light of the challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Civita Group is a founding member of AICC – Associazione Imprese Culturali e Creative within the Confindustria system.
Its operational offices are located in Rome, Milan and Palermo. The Group also has a well-established presence in Turin, Naples and Syracuse.

Civita Mostre e Musei is the company at the head of the Civita Group and has been operating for more than thirty years.
It is a cultural and creative enterprise active in the enhancement of historical and artistic heritage in Italy and abroad. Its work is based on cultural planning and is carried out in collaboration with both the public and private sectors.
Its first two areas of activity were exhibition production and museum management. Over time, these were joined by territorial planning and cultural innovation.
